Although fish’s popularity among cats cannot be questioned, other kinds of meat such as chicken and beef in no way lag behind. So here are a few meat recipes that will help you bring variety in your cat food while giving it a healthy, home-made meal.

1. Chicken and Pasta Stew Recipes for Cat

Ingredients:

2 packages ground chicken (Or turkey)

2-3 small carrots, cooked

2-3 cups macaroni (Cooked)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Garlic

Method:

Fry the chicken in a pan until it is properly cooked. Side by side boil the macronis. Mix the two together along with cooked carrots and blend in a food processor. Take it out in a dish and add oil and garlic. Mix it so that everything is equally spread. Cool it and serve this delicious meal to your cat.

2. Finicky Eater’s Meal for Cats

Ingredients:

1 cup chicken, boiled or microwaved

1/4 cup fresh broccoli, steamed

1/4 cup shredded carrots, steamed

Chicken broth

Method:

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with just enough chicken broth so that it holds everything together. You may alternatively use fish or add variations such as adding rice or other vegetables. Once everything is mixed and cooled, serve it to your cat.

3. Chicken Stir Fry Recipe for Cats

Ingredients:

1 chicken breast

oil

a few almonds (flaked)

Plain boiled rice

Method:

Fry the chicken breast in a pan, stirring continuously until it is cooked on high heat. Add in the flaked almond when the chicken is almost ready. Once the chicken has been cooked to the perfect tenderness, turn off the heat and let the dish cool. Serve your cat with this crispy crunchy dish mixed in plain boiled rice!

4. Cat Jelly Recipe

Ingredients:

3 cups chicken broth

4 1/2 tbsp flour

1/4 cup carrots (diced into small cubes)

3/4 cup minced meat (cooked pieces of chicken or fish) – optional, but it would be better to use this

Method:

Make the broth and leave it to cool for 2 minutes after which add it to flour. Mix the two. It is okay if all of the flour doesn’t mix in. Put it on heat and mix well. The flour that didn’t mix in earlier will eventually over heat. When the mixture has reached a creamy consistency, add in the rest of the ingredients. Stir and pour the mixture in your cat’s container. It will set like jelly in the container. Once it has cooled and is set, serve it to your cat. It is bound to become a favourite of your cat!

5. Beef and Veggie Broth Recipe for Cats

Ingredients:

1/2 cup raw trimmed beef

A few tablespoons of beef broth (Preferably not the canned or cubed variety)

2 tbsp cooked oatmeal

1 tbsp dried barley grass powder (Find at a pet food store)

1 cooked minced veggie (Your cat’s favorite – Carrots are often a favorite)

Method:

Cook the beef in a pan with broth that barely covers it on medium to low heat. Once the beef has been cooked, mash or shred it into very small pieces and return it to the broth in which it was cooked. Then further add the Vegetable of your cat’s choice along with barley grass powder. Mix them and add oatmeal. Mix it in so properly and let it cool. Give it to your cat and it’ll surely love it!

6. Feline Hash Recipe for Cats

Ingredients:

1 cup cooked ground beef

1/2 cup cooked brown rice

6 tbsp alfalfa sprouts

3/4 cup cream-style cottage cheese

Method:

Mix all the above ingredients together and this quick and easy dish is ready for your cat to eat!!

7. Homemade Meal Recipe for Cats

Ingredients:

1/4 pound liver (beef, chicken or pork only)

2 large hard-cooked eggs

2 cups cooked white rice without salt

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon (5 grams) calcium carbonate

1/8 teaspoon potassium chloride (salt substitute)

Method:

Cook the meat slowly in fat and a little moisture in a tightly closed pot. When the meet has been cooked, add in the rest of the ingredients and stir. If it looks too dry, add some water.

Also add a balanced supplement which fulfills the feline MDR for all vitamins and trace minerals and 250mg taurine/day.

8. Sauteed Liver Recipe for Cats

Ingredients:

1/4 lb beef liver

1/2 cup water

1 teaspoon corn oil

Method:

Add the liver in pre-heated oil continuously turning so that both sides fry equally. When the liver has cooked but the insides are still not dry, add water. Mix well. Then, pour the whole mixture in the pan into a food processor and blend it. Cool it and then serve it to your cat!

9. Liver Cookies Recipes for Cats

Ingredients:

1/2 cup dry milk

1/2 cup wheat germ

1 teaspoon honey

one 3 1/3 oz jar of strained liver baby food (it must not have onion powder) or homemade blended liver

Method:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the dry milk and wheat germ in a bowl. Add honey in it and mix further. Then add the liver and mix it until all the ingredients have evenly distributed. Make small balls out of this mixture and place them on a greased baking sheet. Flatten them with the help of a spoon or a fork. Bake them in the oven for 8-10 minutes and your cat’s ‘fudgy’ delight is ready! You can store it in a jar or if you want to use it for a longer period of time exceeding a few days, freezing would be the right option.

10. Steak Tartare Recipe for Cats

Ingredients:

Fresh steak (finely chopped or minced)

Method:

Give raw fresh steak to you cat very occasionally as a treat! Just make sure that you don’t make it often.

11. Chicken Crunchies Recipes for Cats

Ingredients:

1-1/2 cups whole-wheat flour

1-1/2 cups rye flour

1-1/2 cups brown rice flour

1 cup wheat germ

1 teaspoon dried kelp or alfalfa

1 teaspoon garlic powder

4 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 1/2 cups chicken broth or beef broth

1 pound ground chicken

1 to 2 tablespoons brewer’s yeast

Method:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. These include whole wheat flour, rye flour, brown rice flour, wheat germ, dried kelp, and garlic powder. Gradually add vegetable oil, broth and chicken. Knead it into a dough. Then, roll it out to a thickness of 1/8th of an inch and put it in an oiled baking tray. Bake it until it is golden brown. Once it reaches the desired color, take it out and let it cool. After that cut it into small bite-sized pieces and put them in a bag along with brewer’s yeast. Shake the bag well so that the yeast evenly spreads on the pieces. It will make around 2-3 dozen pieces and you can refrigerate the extras in an air-tight jar.

12. Kitten’s Favourite Treats

Ingredients:

1-1/2 cups cooked chicken or turkey

1 large egg

2 Tbl. chicken broth

1 cup cornmeal

1/2 cup whole wheat flour

Method:

Take the first three ingredients and blend them in a food processor. Take the blended mixture out in a bbowl and add cornmeal and flour. Mix them well until a dough is formed. Cover the bowl and put it in the fridge. After at least 2 hours of refrigerating it, take the dough out and roll it to a thickness of 1/4th of an inch. Cut them into squares or triangles and then place them on 3 12×15 oiled baking sheets. Bake them for around 15 minutes or until they get golden. Once cooked, take them out and let them cool. You can refrigerate them in an air-tight jar for upto 2 weeks. However, if you want to use it longer than that, it is advised that you freeze them.

13. Kitty Biscuits Recipes

Ingredients:

1 pound liver, organs, or other meat

2 cups old-fashioned oatmeal

2 cups bran

1/4 cup cooking oil

Method:

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Put the meat in a pan with water almost covering the meat. Bring it to a boil and then lower the heat and let it cook for about 30 minutes. Take the meat out and let it cool. Do not throw the water away. Then, cut the meat in 1 inch pieces and grind it in a food processor. Add the rest of the ingredients in the ground meat and mix. Then, gradually add the required amount of water (that was used for boiling the meat) in the mixture to make it into a hard dough. Make balls and flatten them on the greased baking sheet. Bake for abour 3 hours and then turn off the heat. Do not take the tray out of the oven and let the cookies cool in the oven. Then, take them out and let them air-dray for at least 24 hours before you can serve them to your cat. You can store them in an air-tight jar for as long as three months. You also don’t need to refrigerate it.

14. Natural Crunchy Cat Treats Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour

1/2 Cup Nonfat Dry Powdered Milk

1/4 Cup Wheat Germ (or uncooked oatmeal)

1/4 Cup Cornmeal

1/2 TBS Brewers Yeast (or 1/4th tsp garlic powder)

1/2 of a beaten egg

1/2 Cup Chicken Stock (or Can Chicken Broth)

1 to 2 TBS Catnip (optional)

5 OZ of any of the following meats Choose ONE:

Canned Tuna, packed in oil

Boneless Mackerel

Cooked Chicken, finely chopped

Cooked Liver, finely chopped

Method:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mash the meat in a bowl. Add all the dry ingredients in another bowl and add egg, oil and chicken stock in it. Mix thoroughly so that all ingredients have evenly been distributed in the mixture. Then add the mashed meat to form a gooey dough. Sprinkle some flour on a clean shelf and knead the dough there for a while so that it gets smooth and an even consistency. you may add flour as needed. Make small balls and flatten them on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Also, turn the biscuits once in between to get an equal color on both sides. Cool them and give them to your cat. For the first 3 days you can store the treats in a foil paper. After that shift them in an air-tight jar and freeze them. However, do not keep them in the freezer for more than 2 weeks.

15. Treat for Old Cats Recipe

Ingredients:

1 bullion cube

Left over chicken (boned and shredded)

Grated cheese

1/2 cup water

Method:

Add the bullion cube in water and stir until it completely dissolves and add enough chicken to make it like a soup. Then, add the grated cheese and serve it to your cat!
